"I started dancing at the age of three when my mom started me in ballet classes. It wasn't my thing but I quickly developed a passion for Mexican Folk dance, known as "Folklorico," and I started touring with a company and performing by the age of seven. I continued to dance in the company until I was twenty, while taking countless classes in modern dance, jazz, and Flamenco. Having a Lebanese background I always knew how to bellydance, but it wasn't until I met Fahtiem in 1998 that I finally learned the true beauty and technique of this artform."-- Leila
